What to do in The Black Forest of Southwest Germany

Have you thought about taking your Germany trip to the road? We explored the Black Forest area and here are four things you can't miss on your journey in Southwest Germany!

4 things to do when road tripping in Southwest Germany:

1. Visit Heidelberg Castle. The Heidelberg Castle is the site of world famous ruins and offers a peak into the past, great views of the town below and large grounds for a picnic or break! Before or after checking out the castle make sure to walk around the town and grab some food!

2. Hike the black Forest. We did three – one in Bad Liebenzel, which was a beautiful moss covered hike, second we experienced the All Saints Waterfall and you can’t miss the barefoot trail!

3. Stop for a treat in a cute German town, we drove through countless towns filled with flowers and beautiful buildings, we loved stopping at local bakeries to try something new.

4. Visit a Bad town. This is an authentic and unique experience to take the thermal waters, we went to the one in Bad Liebenzell which is a mix of clothes and nudist areas if you decide to venture into the sauna!

Which experience would you try?
