Things to do in Germany Black Forest: All Saints Waterfall
oes anyone else get super excited to see farm animals when hiking?
It’s day 21 of our sabbatical and we headed Schwarzwald National Park to complete the All Saints Waterfall trail (Allerheiligen-Wasserfälle).
Normally the highlight of any trail for me is a waterfall, but not only does this trail have over 7 smaller waterfalls that cascade down the mountain as you take the stairs up, it has a monastery, a place to stop for coffee, but most importantly we saw these majestic goats! They were most deflietly the highlight for me!
We did the loop trail that starts from the parking lot , you walk up a LOT of stairs, and it’s a pretty busy trail, but as you get to the top of the last waterfall, the crowds thin out and you can walk along the creek where we saw the goats.. which was my favorite part!

Another great benefit of European hiking is there is almost always somewhere to grab a snack, a drink and sometimes even a full meal. Once we fueled up, we went back down the other side to complete the loop!
Pro Tips:
Make sure to get there early as parking fills up fast!
Complete the loop! We noticed lots of people stopping after the waterfall and they missed out on goats, monastery, and food!
Bring a snack to enjoy at the town, but also pick up something from the shop to enjoy with it!
